Trade shows & conferences
This autumn, ACTALIA Sensoriel will be attending three major events dedicated to sensory research, consumer studies and innovation: EuroSense 2026, Le Printemps des Études and Cosmetic 360.
Three key events, in France and internationally, providing an opportunity to share our latest work and discuss a common ambition: to go further in understanding the product experience, beyond what consumers explicitly report.
EuroSense 2026: two posters exploring the product experience from a new perspective
Oslo, Norway – 8 to 11 September 2026
Our first event of the season: EuroSense 2026, the leading European conference dedicated to sensory science and consumer research.
On Wednesday 9 September, our teams will present two scientific posters showcasing two approaches developed to better understand what happens during product use.
From gestures to perception through artificial intelligence
P1.071 – “From Gesture to Perception: Using AI-Based Video Analysis to Decode the Consumer Skincare Experience”
A facial skincare product is not evaluated solely through its formulation: the way it is applied also contributes to the consumer’s overall experience.
In this study, 103 consumers were filmed while applying a facial cream. Using our proprietary artificial intelligence model, 11 application gestures were automatically identified and quantified, without any manual coding. The analysis also revealed two distinct gesture profiles.
The aim of this project is to better connect what consumers actually do during product use with what they perceive and feel about the product.
What if the voice could reveal emotions during the product experience?
P1.072 – “Voice-based analysis to assess emotional dynamics during lipstick user experience”
This second project, conducted in collaboration with Clarins, focuses on a signal that is still rarely used in consumer research: the voice.
Through a lipstick use experience, we investigated how vocal signal analysis, combined with the analysis of spontaneous verbatims, can be used to track consumers’ emotional dynamics throughout the experience.
Rather than asking consumers only how they felt after using the product, this approach aims to better understand what is happening emotionally at the very moment the experience unfolds.
Join us on Wednesday 9 September, from 1:35 pm to 2:35 pm, during Poster Session 1 – Hall A.

Le Printemps des Études: ACTALIA Sensoriel x Clarins exploring voice and emotions
Palais des Congrès de Paris – 24 and 25 September 2026
A few weeks later, we will be heading to Paris for the 14th edition of Le Printemps des Études, the key event for Market Research, Data and Insights professionals.
Following two packed conferences over the past two years, ACTALIA Sensoriel will once again take the stage in 2026. This year, Virginie Herbreteau and Sacha Pronost from ACTALIA Sensoriel will be joined by Christelle Guéré, Head of the Neurosensory Laboratory at Clarins, to present:
“Voice as a Revealer of the Emotional Dynamics of the Product Experience”
Through a real-life lipstick case study, we will show how combining vocal prosody analysis with the analysis of spontaneous verbatims can provide a new perspective on the consumer experience.
How do emotions evolve throughout product use? Can the voice reveal information that is not explicitly expressed through words? And how can these signals be transformed into actionable data for R&D, innovation and marketing teams?
These are some of the questions we will explore during the conference on Thursday 24 September at 3:00 pm.
Registration is now open!
Throughout both days of the event, you can also meet the ACTALIA Sensoriel team at stand D6 to discuss your sensory and consumer research challenges.

Cosmetic 360: innovation serving the cosmetics experience
Carrousel du Louvre, Paris – 14 and 15 October 2026
Our autumn programme will continue with Cosmetic 360, the international trade show dedicated to innovation in the cosmetics and fragrance industry.
ACTALIA Sensoriel will notably present its Emotions Beyond Words approach, developed to deepen our understanding of emotions throughout the product experience.
Its principle: synchronising what consumers say with how they say it.
The analysis of vocal characteristics makes it possible to study emotional dynamics throughout the experience, while semantic and sentiment analysis of consumers’ verbatims helps us understand the content being expressed.
This approach is particularly relevant for in-use studies, when the objective is no longer simply to determine whether consumers like a product, but to understand how the experience develops throughout product use.

An autumn season driven by innovation
From EuroSense to Cosmetic 360, via Le Printemps des Études, these three events will give us the opportunity to share our latest work and exchange ideas around new ways of observing and understanding the consumer experience.
Gestures, voice, emotions and usage: all these signals help us go beyond declarative feedback and deepen our understanding of the product experience.
Will you be attending one of these events?
